It is clear and evident to all that imperialist contradictions in the world are intensifying today. The imperialists have launched predatory wars in pursuit of a renewed division of the world. They seek to navigate the global crisis through these imposed and plundering wars while preparing for even more reactionary and severe conflicts. The unjust war in Ukraine between Russian imperialism and the Ukrainian state, the reactionary and unjust war of U.S. imperialism and its dog (Israel) against Iran, the reactionary and unjust imposed war of the Israeli state on Gaza and Lebanon, and the reactionary war of Pakistan against the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan—all of these demonstrate the deepening contradictions among imperialists in their struggle to redivide the world.
The imperialists have launched these wars both to suppress the resistance of the oppressed masses and to compete with one another over markets and spheres of influence. Under such conditions, the Marxist–Leninist–Maoist forces of the world lack a unified international Maoist center. Today, the struggle to establish an international center constitutes an urgent and essential task for all Maoists.
In May 2016, the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan, in Issue No. 8 of the fourth volume of Shola Javid under the title “The Struggle to Principledly Establish an International Maoist Center Through the Formation of an International Maoist Conference,” emphasized the following:
“Intensifying the struggle for the formation of an International Conference uniting the Maoist parties and organizations of various countries, for drafting and adopting a new international declaration and organizational statutes to replace the previous declaration and statutes of the revolutionary internationalist movement, and for establishing a preliminary international Maoist center to replace the previous ‘RIM committee, has increasingly become an urgent and immediate international revolutionary necessity for the international Marxist–Leninist–Maoist movement.”
Similarly, our party, on August 22, 2023, issued a statement titled “To Principledly Establish an International Maoist Center, the Struggle Must Be Pursued Persistently and Comprehensively,” in which it emphasized the following:
“In order to properly and effectively address these needs, we must urgently and immediately establish an international Maoist center through the formation of an International Maoist Conference to put an end to the current fragmentation of the movement.
Therefore, it is necessary for all of us to intensify the struggle to achieve a preliminary Maoist center for the purpose of drafting and adopting a new international declaration and organizational statutes, and to advance this struggle with even greater determination than before.”
Our party once again emphasizes that the establishment of an international center to lead and coordinate the Maoist parties and organizations of different countries is an urgent and immediate necessity. We hope that the series of discussions will resume as soon as possible. Once these discussions are underway, it can be confidently stated that the fragmentation of the international Marxist–Leninist–Maoist movement will come to an end. In that case, new Maoist parties and organizations will be established in various countries around the world, People’s Wars will be launched in certain countries, and the People’s War in India, the Philippines, and Turkey will be strengthened, consolidated, and further expanded.
The repression by reactionary forces and imperialism against the peoples of India, the Philippines, and Turkey is embedded within the broader expansion of imperialist and reactionary wars against the peoples of the world, particularly in countries under imperialist domination. Therefore, we must urgently seize the opportunities presented by these developments and confront their dangers in a principled and courageous manner.
Fortunately, at the very least, we jointly publish the May Day statement every year, and the Maoist Communist Party of Italy has launched the struggle of two lines at the level of the international movement. It must be understood that without an international center, we will remain stagnant and will not witness the growth and expansion of People’s War worldwide. In the current global crisis, imperialism and its chained dogs are striving to suppress revolutionary movements, popular uprisings, and especially the Maoist parties and organizations around the world. Therefore, the absence of such an international communist center has inflicted severe blows on Maoists worldwide.
Let us join hands and continue our struggle to establish an international communist center as an urgent task and a pressing necessity in the context of today’s global crisis!
